Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are walking 5 miles for Maggies Oldham on Friday 24th September. This centre and the many centres around the UK are a lifeline for people who have had or are suffering with cancer.
As most of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the 2nd time in December 2020 (I had it before in 2010). My family has had the worse time imaginable with both my sister and my mum being diagnosed within the last 5 years, and we lost our amazing Dad through this awful disease.
Since January 2021 I have had surgery and 12 weekly chemotherapy sessions which I can only describe as gruelling and tough. I lost all of my hair and put on a huge amount of weight through steroids. I am now on tablet chemotherapy until at least October. Thankfully I am now onto the next chapter which is moving forward. I cannot wait to go back to work! Thanks to everyone single person that has been there for me. The amount of messages of support I have had has been amazing.
Many people we all know have been affected by cancer and to raise money for a centre that can help people is the least I can do.
My amazing best friends are doing this walk with me (thanks ladies) and it would mean the world to us if you are able to donate even a small amount.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story and hopefully together we can raise money for this amazing centre, Maggies.
