Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi
As many of you will know I lost my best friend Jen in 2008. When she was very ill, her local hospice in Gothenburg was amazing - to her, her family and her many friends. Their care and dedication in her last few weeks of life was second to none and so appreciated by her and all those close to her. Hospices worldwide do such a fantastic job and most of them with little state support. They depend on donations and fundraising. Since she died I have tried to raise a few quid every year for my local hospice.
This year is a bit different as Jen would have been celebrating a milestone birthday (21 again !!! on 3rd June) and me a few weeks later. I wanted to do something special to raise a few quid in her memory and perhaps a little challenge for me. I thought I might do a little run in Gothetnburg where Jen lived for 15 years. Perhaps a 5km or even challenge myself to a 10k!
Not quite sure how it happened but I ended up registering for a half marathon on 21st May. Not being a runner at all this is a MAJOR challenge!! Being asthmatic my training has been up and down to say the least and with less than a month to go I'm not really where I should be! However, with the help of my friend Sarah, who said she would do it with me, I am determined to run, jog, walk, crawl around the lovely city of Gothenburg .......... It would be great if you could sponsor me, remember Jen and raise a few quid! Thanks so much! xxx
