Before you read all about my bike challenge I just thought I should make it clear to you that any money you donate will be going directly to the charities. I am paying all my own fees for the challenge which includes flights,taxes, accomodation.

I am getting on my bike in 2012 to help raise funds for WomenVCancer to take positive action in the fight against Ovarian,Breast and Cervical cancers. I will be joining a group of women  ( including Melinda Messenger and Natasha Hamilton !! ) to take part in a challenge to cycle approx. 340kms through India - both on and off road. 

As many of you will know I lost my beloved mum to Ovarian cancer - the 'silent killer' - in 2009. Last week on the 11th October I also lost a very good friend, one of the bravest most inspiring people I have ever met - Rhonda Waters - to Breast cancer ( aged 45 ! ). She left behind 2 beautiful daughters Zara ( 14 - a year older than my Kirsty ) and Alice ( 10 - my Ciara's best friend ). I am taking part in this challenge to both honour their memories and to raise money in the hope that others won't have to go through what those brave individuals did.

As the mum of 2 beautiful daughters I am also very aware of the threat of such illnesses to both myself and my girls. I don't want that fate to be ours.

Please please help me raise this money to help out these good causes. I am prepared to put in the time and effort to do this challenge - 340km on a bike in 25-30 degrees heat - please help make it worthwhile.
