I'm hoping to complete my first (and only!) marathon in Dublin on 26 October and I'd like to use this opportunity to raise funds for the Mater Foundation-Neurological Appeal. Most of you who know me, know that I've a very brave sister who lives everyday through the hardship of having Parkinson's disease. She got diagnosed in her mid 30's and today (23rd Sep) is celebrating a very "significant" birthday (happy birthday, Ann!!). Over the years she has benefited greatly from the care provided by the Neurology team in the Mater hospital. So help me, help them, to continue providing the best level of medical care to all Parkinson's sufferers and hopefully, someday soon a cure will be found.
