Story

.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Eila and I am 11 years old. I may only be young, but I watch the news, I hear reports of drought, famine and international disasters. It really makes me sad that there are children, just like me, who are dying because they do not have enough food to eat or fresh water to drink. Imagine that, not enough water!

The charity CAFOD work hard to alleviate poverty and suffering in developing countries. The work towards a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.

So, I have set myself a challenge, I am not going to eat any sweets (not even a tic tac!) for 3 whole months, 1st Oct 2012-1st Jan 2013. My aim is to raise as much money through sponsorship for CAFOD.

Please consider when you make your donation the level of difficulty this task actually involves. Firstly, I am 11. Sweets are my life. Secondly, I am doing this over Christmas. So, no candy canes for me. Nope, not a single one! Lastly, I live with two brothers so I cannot cheat because my Mum will definitely find out.

JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now
