Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In July 2010 I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with my Dad, to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. All my travel and accommodation expenses were paid for privately, so that all the money I collect will go IN FULL to Teenage Cancer Trust.
The trek took me a total of 6 days and we reached the summit of Uhuru at a height of 19,340 ft.
I chose Teenage Cancer Trust because every day 6 teenagers hear the words 'you have cancer'.This is a very emotional and traumatic experience for them. Teenage Cancer Trust sets up a specialist hospital units for the treatment of young people in the UK. Each unit costs between £500,000 and £3,500,000. Teenage Cancer Trust's plan is to build enough units so that by 2012, every single teenager who is diagnosed with cancer will be treated in one.
