Fundraising for LUPUS UK
Last year I ran the London Marathon for the first time to raise funds for LUPUS UK in memory of my wife Susie, who was diagnosed with this illness in 2007 and sadly died two years ago.
Lupus is an incurable immune system illness, probably genetic in origin and mainly suffered by females. It can affect any part of the body, it can produce many symptoms and is often extremely difficult to diagnose. Meanwhile, a number of major organs can be damaged in an irreversible way.
LUPUS UK is the only national registered charity supporting people with systemic lupus and discoid lupus and assisting those approaching diagnosis. Please consider giving to this worthy charity; last year, through the wonderful generosity of family and friends, over £4,500 was raised and this year with your help I'm hoping to raise even more.
