Starlight Children's Foundation is a national children's charity dedicated to brightening the lives of children and young people suffering from a serious illness. We do this through our hospital play, distraction and entertainment services, wish granting and Escape programme. These programmes deliver the support and experiences that families need; helping them escape the reality and routine of serious illness and life-threatening conditions. Recent studies show that the simple act of play has huge benefits on a child's emotional, physical, social and spiritual health, which is why it is a central focus of everything we do; Both in a hospital environment and at home.
