We support homeless under fives in Newham to ensure they don't slip through the net

Story

In September 2020, Linkcity partnered with the Magpie Project, which provides practical support and advice to mothers and children under five in temporary or insecure accommodation in the London Borough of Newham. For the next year, we will be helping them with donations, fundraising and volunteering - and this is one of the first steps.

When we discussed what we could do for the Magpie Project, one of the first things to come up was helping them aquire an electronic cargo bike, which they could use to deliver and collect items accross the borough in a sustainable way. But, this costs a whopping £5,000!

So throughout the next few months, Linkcity will be running fundraising events in tandem with Magpie to get them always closer to buying that bike - and because it's a lot of donations to ask for, we'll also match-fund everything raised up to our goal. So if you donate here, you're having twice the impact, just like that.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
