Story
June 22nd this year was the second anniversary of my Dad's successful liver transplant. Both Dad (aka Papa G, Uncle Chris, Gruncle Chris and big eejit!) and Mum could not have got through the challenges they had to navigate before, during and after the transplant, without the amazing work of the RVH Liver Support group. The group helped them through the uncertain period spent on the waiting list, prepared them for what to expect both medically and emotionally, provided accommodation for mum during the time dad spent in hospital in London and helped them adapt to the new way of life post transplant. Indeed the support continues today via the wonderful community of volunteers, patients and carers that are involved. I'm extremely grateful for any donation you can make to help continue all of the above invaluable work and much, much more. I'm also grateful to my friend Paula who is doing the walk with me and has chosen the RVH Liver Support Group as her charity. Huge thanks to you all... x p.s. Pic was taken at the Rolling Stones exhibition last June when we went back to London to celebrate the first anniversary of his transplant - he calls it his new birthday !!
