Story

Simon Eyles, born on the 19th of June 1971 was a man of indomitable character. His work ethic was fundamental in his success as a business man, founding and managing a highly successful scaffolding business. He was also a great family man. Married to Mariesa and father to his two sons, Dashiell (Dash) and Roman. He instilled in them a sense of family loyalty and pride, which is plainly evident today. A legacy of which he would have been so proud. Unfortunately Simon is not here to enjoy life with his family. Sadly in 2013 Simon was diagnosed with leukaemia which he fought, overcame and returned to normal life. Tragically the cancer returned. Despite a truly courageous fight and only two days away from his bone marrow transplant, on 24th February 2014, Simon lost his battle and died. This was utterly devastating for his family and friends. Dash, about to sit his GCSE exams was given huge support from his school friends. It was then that some of his friends since primary school decided to help him and his family by raising money, in Simon's memory, for leukaemia research.

Dash, and two of his close school friends, Charlotte and her younger sister, Lucy are cycling from Edinburgh Castle on 26th October 2014 arriving 5 days, and 500 miles later in Hyde Park on 30th October.

Please show your support to this brave trio and donate to help leukaemia research.
