Story

To everyone who donated - THANK YOU, you probably all know by now that my mum passed away last Sunday. As a family we can never thank the nurses at St. Lukes Hospice enough for their kindness and patients shown both to my mum and all our family. Last nights walk by my daughter and myself was done in her memory, her funeral is on Monday 2nd July and rather than flowers we are asking for donations again to St Lukes Hospice. Thank You again for all your support. Helen xx

please sponsor me in my walk for st lukes hospice

At 79 years young my mother thought old age was finally catching up with her. She went to the doctors for a checkup in January 2012 and she was diagnosed with cancer in February 2012. By the time she got diagnosed it had already spread.

The St Lukes team having been looking after her ever since, sorting out carers when she still well enough to live at home and arranging drivers to take her to their Day Centre. With the cancer spreading fast her health is deteriorating and now she is being looked after fantastically in the Hospice. The nurses are all so kind and helpful even putting up with her worped sense of humour.
