Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I never made it into the Armed Forces (though I tried), but my brother did; and although we take the Mickey out of him when he says things like: ”When I was in the Army…” we are a bit proud of him (just don’t tell him I said so). That’s true of all the other men and women in the Armed Forces: we’re a bit proud of them too, but we don’t always say it.
So when my brother asked me to go with him on an H4H trek to Nepal (yes he’s going too – we’ll be like Captain Mainwaring and Private Godfrey), I thought it was a chance for me to DO, rather then say, something to show these extraordinary young men and women that they are cared for by us. We will be away for ten days during November in a party of fundraisers like ourselves trekking in the Nepalese mountains. So we'll be in training from now on. Anyone know a cure for blisters?
To date, over a million people have responded to the H4H Appeal and millions of pounds have been raised to buy much needed services, but they need more! So far, they have allocated almost all of the money they have raised in order to fund direct projects and support other service charities.
So don’t support me – I’ll have my brother to give me a helping hand – support these young people who deserve all the helping hands we can give them. Please give as much as you can.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
