Between the 26th May and 4th June Drew will be undertaking the 2017 Hockey For Heroes Operation Stretcher. Hockey for Heroes is a charity group made up of both civilian, service men and women and veterans with the goal of raising money for Help for Heroes through playing hockey.

will commence on Friday the 26th of May from Sofia Gardens, Cardiff, Wales with a first game against a Welsh eleven. Over 10 days the squad will be carrying a stretcher to 9 different hockey venues and playing 3 matches every evening after a 20 mile walk.
The final game will be at Lee Valley Hockey Centre against a GB Vets side. A total of two hundred miles will be covered and thirty games of hockey will be played across the country in 10 days.
The tour comprises of a squad of twenty six members who will take it in turns to carry the stretcher. On the stretcher will be ex Royal Marine Dom Hugill-Lovett who was injured during a military training exercise and is now a paraplegic.
This is all in aid of Help for Heroes who provide
comprehensive support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses while serving our country. This support is provided at four Help for Heroes Recovery Centres across the UK and through support grants to individuals and other charities.
