Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In July 2011, I crashed on my mountain bike whilst warming up for a race. More than 'just a scratch', I needed to be airlifted to hospital and Wiltshire Air Ambulance came to the rescue, landing in the middle of the race course and taking very good care of me. You can see them in action in the video!
It turned out that I had broken my left hip socket (part of my pelvis) and would require surgery to pin it back together. I'm back riding and racing my mountain bike thanks to the care that I have received from doctors, nurses, physios, family and friends.
I've already completed three races this year but on the 1 year anniversary of my crash I will be riding a 12 hour solo race. Essentially, it's just you, your bike and the race course for 12 hours......
To keep me motivated during the race and for the rest of this year I want to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance. My target of £1917 is the amount needed each day to the keep the helicopter flying.
