If I up the target do you think we'll get more money?

Wow. £1600! Thanks guys... Not sure how far this can go by December...

Adjudicators say 2:06, I'll take that... thanks again for support, will be quicker next year.. I owe TSUK £25 as I got beat by the grinning 26 year-old in yellow (Alex, 1:54) ... Fair enough, bring on next year...

Ok so I survived. I think I finished in about 2:05 but had to stop on grass for 10 mins with cramp... Beautiful day. Never again... Until next year.

Thanks to those who have supported this cause, thanks to the donors and their families, thanks to the kids who make it worthwhile. 11 hrs to kick off - wish me luck!

As of today I am running in memory of my Uncle Romanus, whose anniversary my family remember this week, and also my adopted granddad (those who should know, know) who always had time for a chat and who passed away on Wednesday of this week.  Thanks for your generosity everyone, I will do my best...

Feeling a bit better. Ran a personal best for the lunchtime circuit but gut still protesting 90 mins later. Hope it settles down by Sunday!

Ok, so explanation for weekend.  Am a little unwell.  Night sweats last four nights and struggled to ride into work this morning.  Expect this bug to pass quite soon so more optimistic for the weekend.  Wish me luck.  Will keep you posted.

Training session in Richmond Park Yest. Plan was for 5k:10k:5k, managed to run about 3k total and staggered around the middle bike leg. Major confidence knock! Felt a little under the weather... Will try and pick myself up with final run on Tuesday.

20 km brick tomorrow... Bring it on!

Ok guys - you're donating like you think the challenge and the cause (if not the competitor) are something admirable!  tell your friends and lets see if we can hit £1000?  I am going to be in the top 25%, I am a machine!

Ok. In portballintrae and ran along the coast today. Giants causeway in distance. Beats Holborn!

Ok - so this is no longer funny - not content with adding 1 k to the run they've added 2k to the cycle, I'm now hoping to get in under 2 hrs.  That's just not playing fair...

Just back from the British Transplant Games in Bath. Which is what you're all supporting. In case of any doubt. It's very worth it! Will post some pics soon.

Just discovered my training run is shorter than first estimated. Hmmm. 1:50 could be tricky.

My young friend Galloway has tricked me into near-killing myself for charity around Richmond Park in September.  For those that don't know, we run 10km, cycle 20km, then run 5km.  If you need telling, I don't do running more than 400m, and Alex' bike has no gears, so this is something of a challenge.  Transplant Sport UK is a charity I've been involved with for 5 years, working to promote sporting participation and achievement in children and adults who have undergone organ transplantation.  I'm mostly involved with the kids, who are uniformly inspirational, and none of whom would be still be here without the generosity of their donors.  TSUK helps them make the most of the wonderful gift they've been given.
