Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Dr Peter Fisher was a consultant physician who served the NHS Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) as Clinical and Research Director for over 35 years, before his death in a road traffic accident on his bicycle in August 2018.
His passion was to integrate safe, effective complementary medical therapies for NHS patients with chronic medical problems, to improve their wellbeing and where possible, reduce use of conventional medicines and their side effects.
The UCLH Charitable fund in his name will support research and education into these therapies, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy, mind-body therapies (such as Tai Chi and Yoga), and nutritional therapies. It will also help provide these therapies to NHS patients at the RLHIM where there is no current funding, in pilot projects to evaluate their effectiveness.
