Hi, thanks for visiting our fundraising page and supporting the Parkinson's Disease Society - a charity which doesn't get a lot of publicity but which couldn't be more personal to us as we each have a parent suffering from this debilitating and as yet incurable condition.

There's a lot of training to get through before we take part in the 2010 Virgin London Marathon on 25 April, but your support makes it easier and motivates us to work that little bit harder.  This is the third marathon for Douglas and first for Carol so we have different goals in terms of race strategy and finishing times, but a common goal in reaching the finish line having raised as much as we can for the PDS.

We know all too well the reality of living with Parkinson's and so anything you can contribute towards helping with the provision of care and treatment for the 120,000 people just like our parents who are currently diagnosed with this condition in the UK is really appreciated.
