This year we had to say goodbye to a truly inspirational young women, Kirsty fought through her illnesses with bravery and was never without a smile.

Kirsty got a lifesaving heart transplant in 2009 which gave her almost 8 extra years with us and for that we are all truly thankful.

I am proud to be able to say that Kirsty was my little cousin and it was a privilege to be asked to take part in the relay team.

Heartbeat-NI provided essential support to Kirsty and her family from the moment she was diagnosed and for that reason we would like to give back so they can keep supporting other families.
