Story
I'm fundraising for Animals Asia who fight to end an awful pratice known as bear bile farming across Asia. They've just broken ground on their new sanctuary in Vietnam which will house the remaining bears still being farmed for their bile. When the sanctuary is finished, bear bile farming in Vietnam will finally be a thing of the past. In 2017 Animals Asia signed an agreement with the Vietnamese government which was the result of decades of work on the ground in Vietnam, with Animals Asias proven track record of success and constructive collaboration seeing them named as the governments official partner to end bear bile farming. They need your support now to ensure enough funds can be raised for the sanctuary to be built swiftly so that they can start rescuing bears from bile farms as soon as possible. Please donate what you can to help make this dream a reality - and be a part of history as we make sure that no bear is left behind.
On 23 July I am climbing Conic Hill, near Balmaha. I never do active things like this so really will be a challenge. I will be wearing an elephant costume and accompanied by Maren in a dog costume and Silke in a bear costume. They thought I was joking when I said they might need to push me up the hill!!! I will focus on the beautiful bears (and the chips I’ve been promised at the end of it!). Wish me luck, and please donate. Will post photos afterwards so you can all have a laugh.
