Over 700 hundred children are admitted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit each year, from all over the south of England. The children who are between one day and 17 years old are admitted with any number of complex and serious illnesses or injuries, or following major surgery.

I am one of a large team of nurses who work on PICU with the children and their families. We see daily the impact the the donations people give to Friends of PICU in the form of equipment and the second ambulance that is used to retrieve children who require PICU care from other hospitals.

I will be running (or crawling towards the end!) the London Marathn 2010 and would love you to sponsor me, so that we can continue to make provide top quality care to the children in PICU.
