Story
Rosie was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome in November 2016 at just 5.5 months old.
In the early years Rosie endured a variety of seizure types, but thanks to a new trial drug - for the past year she was ‘more or less’ seizure free. On the 1st July, Rosie woke with a fever caused by a viral illness and after having a minor seizure at home - was taken to hospital for a check up. Whilst under the supervision of the Doctors, she suffered a prolonged seizure from which she never awoke and Rosie passed away peacefully on 11th July 2022.
The 12 months prior were wonderful, Rosie went to school, we had a family holiday and we had lots of days out, loving family times - in which exceptional memories were created.
Dravet Syndrome UK is an independent UK charity, dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome through support, education and medical research.
Medical advances gave Rosie the 12 months that transformed her life, work continues to find a cure to permanently transform the lives of the other children living with Dravet -
