Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am going to cycle from the Cutty Sark in London to SARA lifeboat station in Sharpness, Gloucestershire during the Easter weekend in 2011.
Later on I will add details of my route and also my blog in case you wish to follow my training effort.
Please give what you can as SARA depend completely on donations.
Money raised will go towards fitting out the new boathouse at Sharpness - the training room requires furniture. Why is a training room important? Each person in the crew give up a Thursday evening and Sunday morning so that they can be trained to deal with any type of emergency. Much of this training is on land and sea exercises but also includes classroom sessions where they get all the technical knowledge that will help them to save more lives.
DAY 1 cycle - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4004107 is around 67 miles
DAY 2 cycle - URL for this route is: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4208548 and is around 57 miles. That seems OK to me!!
DAY 3 cycle - URL for this route is: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4224684 and is less than 20 miles
Thank you
Don
