Story
I DID IT! And in the end it was 30.8 miles, as I got lost above Cheddar Gorge.
You can have a look on Run Replay at: http://runreplay.com/replay.aspx?event=551
(Make sure you watch it on Full Screen).
I had great support from Simon and Millie, and John Rance joined me for 15 miles from Cheddar to Bleadon. If you would like to see photos of the day across the whole route then look here:

Thanks so much for all your good wishes and donations.
Lots of love, Dominic. x
The Mendip Challenge is a sponsored walk along the West Mendip Way, organised to raise funds for Weston Hospicecare, which operates in North Somerset. Participants have the option to walk 10, 20 or 30 miles of the national trail, or there is the option to run...
So, I am going to run the whole 30 miles from the City of Wells to the coast at Uphill, across the highest parts of the Mendips.
There is no doubt that running 30 miles across the Mendips is going to be a great challenge to me but it is nothing compared to the challenges faced everyday by the people who use, and provide, the services of hospices across the country. Like all the hospices, the work done by Weston Hospicecare is beyond price, especially as every year more and more of us come to rely on them. Yet although they work alongside the NHS, they are not part of it, which is why the work of these charities relies so much on us to supplement their funding.
So even if this particular hospice charity doesn't operate in your area, please help me support their work in recognition of all the other hospices across the UK.
Thank you.
