We help families facing tragedy & hardship to give children the best possible start

Story

The Jail & Bail event is a great way to show support for Home-Start East Lindsey.

On 20 September I will be publicly 'arrested' by real Police officers in Louth Market Place.  I will then be locked up in a cell in Louth Police Station until my Bail is raised.  That's where you come in - if I raise £500 I will be released, if not...well...

Some of you dear souls will hopefully come to my aid and help me raise money for this vital charity.  You will want to help me be released.  Others among you will, no doubt, relish the thought of me rotting in a cell.  So, to please all I will pledge to spend an extra hour in clink for every £100 over the £500 target.

Home-Start is a very important local charity in East Lindsey.  East Lindsey is a large rural part of North East Lincolnshire which has a significant number of people in poverty.  Home-Start's goal is to alleviate the impact that this has on families - after all,  children are invariably the innocent victims of their parents' circumstances.  Many disadvantaged children grow up in single-parent families, lacking the security enjoyed by their classmates.

Home-Start tries to make disadvantaged families lives a little better.  Please help me to help them to help those families.

Love & Best Wishes,

Dom
