At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My mum was diagnosed in October 2009 with Alzheimer's and since then as changed from being a person so full of life and laughter, capable, dependable and 'life & soul' of any occasion to one who without the help of other people would not be able to feed, clothe or bathe herself, it has devastated our family and her friends that my mum has been in full time care since March 2012 and our hearts break everytime we leave her.  Alzheimer's does not have any boundaries, it does not distinguish by ethnicity , wealth or religion it can affect anyone from all walks of life and hopefully we will find a cure sooner rather than later and I thank you in advance for your contribution however great or small because it really will make a difference.
