Fundraising for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation
Hi All,
We are raising money for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation!
To do this we will be taking part in the David Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge This consists of running 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours, starting at noon on March 10th.
My Name’5 Doddie Foundation has a simple vision: A World Free of MND. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a disease which affects the motor neurons of the nervous system. It is life-shortening and mostly progresses rapidly, more than half of those diagnosed die within two years.
Doddie Wier OBE is one of rugby’s most recognisable personalities, earning 61 caps for Scotland and representing the British and Irish Lions on their South Africa tour in 1997. Doddie was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in December 2016, but ever the optimist, he tackled the disease head-on, and set up the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation with the goal of investing in research towards MND treatments, and supporting those living with the disease.
Tragically, Doddie passed away in November 2022, aged just 52, but the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation continues in his memory.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, please consider donating however much you can.
Cheers,
Nathan, Jeremy & Tristan
