Story
Diyana & Arya were born on 14th October prematurely at 33 weeks, weighing a tiny 1.43kg and 1.25kg respectively. They were both promptly whisked away by the talented doctors at Whittington Hospital to be kept safe.
They spent just over a week in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where they were kept in lifesaving incubators, given oxygen, fed by feeding tubes and given crucial medication to keep them alive. After they had stabilised, they moved to the Special Care Babies Unit (SCBU) where they slowly gained weight under the care and expertise of the paediatricians and nurses.
Without the crucial equipment in those units, the girls wouldn't be here today and their mummy and daddy wouldn't be so well supported. We owe everything to Whittington Babies- no amount of money can express our gratitude but we would love to help future premature babies & parents. Please donate in lieu of gifts.
