Story
Thank you for giving up your time to read this, I am genuinely humbled.
I had a crazy dream a few years back that I wanted to run a marathon. At the start of this year, I chose one word to guide me through 2021. This word was courage. So, I am doing things that scare me, challenge me and utterly push me out of my comfort zone!
Why UNICEF? I wanted to support a cause I was passionate about and something that had a real purpose in my life. For me, that is helping children, particularly young girls in education, especially in the field of STEM.
I believe all children deserve an opportunity to thrive and succeed in life. This starts by getting the basics right. I feel so privileged that my own children get an education, great healthcare, are well nourished, loved and supported.
Simple things such as having clean drinking water readily available, a meal each day, and female toilet blocks in schools can encourage more children and more girls to attend school regularly in many parts of the world.
During this pandemic, many girls have not returned to school, and instead have been sent out to work or subject to child marriage as their families simply cannot afford to house and feed them. Learning these girls’ stories absolutely horrified me. I feel so grateful for the opportunities that I have been given in life. Now I must pay it forward.
If we can help even one child change their life for the better this is all worth it. YOU can help.
Please donate today.
In return for your money, you can be assured I will be in pain over the next four months training hard and on the 3rd October, I will run, walk, crawl to get myself over that finish line.
Your support by donations will give me the extra push and accountability I need to get me there.
Let us educate and help our girls because I truly believe they can help create a better world for all of us.
Thank you
