My dad died 3 years ago.  His last days were spent in St Anne's Hospice, Heald Green where they took amazing care of him at the end of his life. It takes a lot of money to run the hospice so whenever I do a run or take up a challenge I like to give a little back to this incredible place. 

The race takes place along the beautiful coastal road from Cascais to Lisbon.  My father spent a lot of time in this area.  He worked and played here and when we were born it formed the back drop to our Portuguese holidays. 

So it seems fitting to run here 3 years after he died.
