Story
My name is Dic Evans. I am a retired Head Teacher and I live in the Ystwyth Valley in Ceredigion. I am 73 years of age and I have been a keen runner for most of my life. I have competed internationally many times. I train every day and I coach a group of runners, triathletes and orienteers. Over the last 17 years I have been organising a trail race "The Red Kite Challenge" which has raised money every year for Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth. This year we were going to donate to the hospital's Chemotherapy Unit Appeal, however we have had to postpone our event due to Covid-19. So, instead, I have committed to run 1000 miles - starting on lockdown day and finishing before the end of June - in aid of the same cause.
