Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for The Stroke Association.

Hi Everyone

Well - the big day was last Saturday, and you'll all be pleased (some surprised) to know that I completed the course, even if I seriously doubted my sanity several times. I think I was on the third rung of the first rope ladder when I suddenly felt a strong urge to go home! After the very first rope crossing my legs turned to jelly and each subsequent challenge became more demanding physically and mentally. But I was with some great people and Oliver and Trish gave me loads of encouragement. I have bruised arms where I was clinging to the ropes so tightly. The absolute worst was the last cargo net....I had to drop off a ledge and Graham (filming below) shouted "you can do it" at least 5 times, so in the end I did, and it was nearly all over, just the final exhilarating zip slide home.

I feel immensely proud of myself, and of the amount of money I raised for The Stroke Association. This was my very first attempt at charity sponsorship. A big thank you to everyone who donated, friends and family, my colleagues at Timewade, and the lovely people at Drakes in Topsham, you have all been so generous and supportive. Check out the photos and see how much I raised!!

I think next time I'll organise a pub quiz............................

Love to you all..................Diane x x x x
