Story
I am dedicating this journey to a wonderful young lady called Steph Warde. Steph was a great friend of my daughter Hannah and a favourite visitor to our home. She was funny, bright, organised and lit up a room with her smile and her humour. Steph lost her fight for life in the Hospice in May 2010 and died with dignity and surrounded by the love of her family and many, many friends who still miss her and talk about her to this day.
This one's for you Steph!
The trek will take us through jungle trails, small minority villages, past rice paddies and alongside gushing rivers. We will meet local people along the way, and each night will stay with the locals in their homes, experiencing their way of life.
After the trek, we return to Hanoi and will help out at a community project which provides shelter and care for older people who have been abondoned by their families whilst at the same time, caring for disabled children who have been affected by Agent Orange or have life-threatening illnesses.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and be sure that every penny you give is much needed and will be well spent by the Hospice of St Francis in providing care when time is precious .
