Story
Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and apologies if I have thrust this upon you!
For those who don't already know (the lucky ones), I have decided to challenge myself by doing a trek next May to Machu Picchu in Peru (as you do!) In doing this I am hoping to raise alot of money for a really good cause - Cash For Kids; which is a local charity that helps disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
When I told my family and friends about my mad-venture, they either thought that I had lost the plot or was going through a mid life crisis - both of which may be true ha! However, this is something that I have always wanted to do and if I can help someone else in the process then it has to be all good. I am sure this will challenge me in every conceivable way, but I am definitely up for it!!
I have started the fitness campaign (okay....nearly, I'm doing Wii Fit as soon as I've finished writing this!) and now it's time I started the fundraising campaign.
I realise these are difficult times for everyone (don't I just pick the best time!!) but please, please can I ask you to donate anything thing that you can afford. This really is a good cause, Cash For Kids do some tremendous work helping and supporting children in our region. Some of these kids as young as 11 have left home through no fault of their own and would be sleeping on the streets, but the charity help these vulnerable children feel safe and help them to gain the skills and confidence they need to turn their lives around.
Now more important stuff:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I would really appreciate it if you could make a donation.
I will update you on my progress in the coming months and you may also hear of this on Metro Radio - O.M.G.!!!!
