Bethesda provides 4 hospice beds for specialist palliative care and 30 long-term care home beds. It is required to raise over £470,000 per year to keep the hospice open and offers a much needed and caring service to those who are terminally ill and those who require nursing care.

Story

Ailsa died in a hospice in Stornoway, at the age of 51. She had lung cancer. Apparently she donated her body to medical research and there was no funeral. She had lived on Lewis for a while.

I thought it would be nice to give back to the hospice who cared for her as we are in the fortunate position of still being here. Donations will go directly to the hospice.
