Story
As many of you know, I lost the most precious person any mother could lose.... A baby Son, Ross was born on September the 30th 1993.
Ross was born with a rare genetic neuromuscular condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
SMA is a relatively rare disease that affects approximately 1 in 6,000-10,000 babies born.
There are 4 main types of SMA, 3 of which affect babies and children.
Type 1 SMA kills more babies than any other genetic condition..... (this is the one Ross had)
The Jennifer Trust provides a network of support, information and friendship for the thousands of families and individuals living with SMA.
Whilst there is still no effective treatment or a cure, researchers have a greater understanding of what causes SMA.
The Jennifer Trust has been going for 25 years but there is NO CURE YET.....
So that's why I'm doing this Parachute jump for The Jennifer Trust, I hope that you could all help me to raise enough money to give back to the people that helped me out for the last 19 years
Thank you all very much Diane x
