Story
Diana Geary died on 1st April 2010 and was buried at Holme Pierrepont Church, a short cycle ride in the countryside from her long-time home in West Bridgford, Nottingham.
She asked only to have flowers from family at the funeral, suggesting her friends give money to the charity of her choice, Medecins Sans Frontieres, instead.
Diana spent her whole working life as a nurse and health visitor in Nottinghamshire, and gave to this charity regularly over many years. She travelled widely but was fortunate to receive a lot of good quality NHS treatment herself local to her home and I guess it's appropriate that she would like to make sure other people around the world who are less fortunate are helped to receive much needed treatment.
Here's the address for the MSF website www.msf.org.uk
I set up this page when we had collected at least £920 in memory of Diana via the funeral directors. My first target was to get to at least £1,000. I met this by 14th May. If you have already given we thank you sincerely. If you would like to give now then any amount, however small, is welcome.
So please dig deep and donate now. Love and Hugs, Lisa Geary x
