#EqualityMarch INC week
Since it’s beginnings as the Stonewall uprising of 1969, Pride has always been a protest. Those first protestors campaigned against police brutality and the treatment of LGBTQ+ people, and today we march to raise awareness of the inequalities that continue to impact the LGBTQ+ community globally.
Whilst Pride parades around the world have been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to march, we continue to protest, and we continue to advocate for the rights of LGBTQ+ people.
The LGBT Foundation is a national charity delivering advice, support and information services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities. We believe in a fair and equal society where all lesbian, gay bisexual and trans people can achieve their full potential. Through their services they reduce isolation amongst our communities, help people feel more confident and in control of their lives, and enable people to flourish.
This INC week the Supply Chain & Procurement Rainbow Network are inviting you to take part in your own march for equality and support the LGBT Foundation whilst doing so.
How to get involved:
We’ll also be sharing a number of Rainbow Network placards which you can choose to use to show your support and allyship to the LGBTQ+ community. You’re also welcome to design your own placards and tell us more about why you’re marching for equality.
You can march at any time that suits you during INC week, and whether that’s on your own, with your family and friends, or with your colleagues, we’d love to see your photos.
Post your images to the Supply Chain & Procurement Yammer page using the hashtags #INCweek and #EqualityMarch for your chance to be included in our montage.
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
