On September 3rd 2019 we received a diagnosis for our 9 month old son Dylan that would change our family's lives forever. A rare genetic condition- Tuberous- Sclerosis, a  brain tumour and multiple heart tumours meant we found it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  One day we were leading a 'normal' family life, the next our world was turned upside down with so many fears and questions for the future.

Great Ormond Street and our local team has helped us every step of the way giving us the hope we needed to know that we can provide Dylan with the best care possible.  

Fast forward 5 months, Dylan has just had his neurosurgery in Jan 2020 and his recovery is going brilliantly. We could not have done this without the amazing nurses, surgeons, doctors and every member of staff at this hospital with their amazing facilities making our stay there comfortable and family-friendly. 

This is our way of saying thankyou to this brilliant hospital, thankyou for looking after our son and for giving us hope, and thankyou for being so kind with your time and attention for every single appointment we have here.  Dylan will remain a patient of GOSH for many years to come to monitor all of his major organs, and we have all the faith in this excellent hospital.
