Story
We came across the charity, Zarach, and were struck by the work their team do in their local areas to help children living in poverty. The charity was set up by a school teacher who realised some of her pupils did not have a bed to sleep in. Shockingly, the charity has delivered beds to children who had been sleeping on the floor to every postcode in Leeds. Their mission is to end bed poverty across the UK.

To help support Zarach, Desoutter will be taking part in two events to raise some funds:
1. Eight in the team on 30th July tackle the incline of mount Snowdon.
2. Two runners face the miles of the Lock Ness Marathon on 2nd October.
Any small donation would be greatly appreciated. At the end of 2022, Desoutter has kindly agreed to match the total donations across the year. Thank you for your support.
About Zarach - Many children are going to sleep hungry and cold without a proper bed of their own. Poverty is a real problem that has a significant effect on a child’s education. By providing something to eat and a good night’s sleep, Zarach hope to give every child an equal chance to learn and succeed at school. Together, we can help children living in poverty: meet their basic needs, give them a good night’s sleep and an equal opportunity at school. If we don’t act now, these children will remain cold, hungry and tired. We can make a difference.
