Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In November 2020, Freddie my Grandson was diagnosed with a Rhabdomysarcoma a rare form of Cancer. After 9 months of treatment, which included 8 sessions of chemo, 28 sessions of Proton Beam Therapy and several other procedures, on July 31st 2021 Freddie lost his battle and passed away, he was only 3 years old.
In October 2021 I ran the Manchester Marathon raising a fantastic amount of money for young lives vs cancer. This was possible because of the real kindness and generosity of the many people that donated and supported me.
Now I'm doing another challenge , this time for The Christie who helped to try and save Freddie. Raising funds for The Christie will help make a huge difference in the care and treatment that is provided to cancer patients and their families.
I know when an individual is fundraising, in the main they only have a select number of contacts who they can approach. However after seeing first hand what cancer does to individuals with the illness, their families and feeling the loss that cancer has caused. I cannot sit back without trying to support others who will at some time be affected because of this terribly cruel illness.
If you feel you can support with a donation (however small) please do so. If not you may be able to share this fundraising link to others.
Thank you for taking the time to read my fundraising story.
