Barnardos is a UK childrens charity committed to improving the quality of childrens lives. Barnardos work covers a board range of issues from drug misuse to disability; youth crime to mental health; sexual abuse to domestic violence; poverty to homelessness; they currently have 415 projects across the UK.

 

This is my first marathon which has always been a life long ambition of mine (crazy some people may say) and its Desi's second (crazier!). Training is well underway and we're even having a quiet New Year's just to show we are committed to our goal. Not only will we be completing the marathon but our aim is a competitive time around the 4 hour mark. We are now living, breathing and dreaming the marathon. The back drop for the event is the concrete skyscraper city of Dubai and I'm looking forward to crossing the finish line!

 

We promise to send some pictures of us in the event, which I am sure will be light entertainment for all and be worth the donation in itself.
