Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In November 2011 I suffered a Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) whilst cycling and had to have a stent inserted in my heart. I refused to accept I'd had a heart attack as I was fit and healthy. At the time information on this rare condition was hard to come by. It seemed to be that most cases were found in women, and at post mortem! Thankfully I have made a good recovery but am left with permanent heart damage.
Thanks to the work of Beat SCAD we are learning more and more about this under diagnosed heart condition which cannot be predicted or prevented.
Please donate what you can to continue to fund vital research and provide education to health care professionals and patients.
Thank you!!!!!
