Story
I was 80 years old on 20th February, rode for 73 miles and raised over £650 in Sponsorship
I was sponsored for my ride on Sunday June 14th which was 43 miles long with nearly 4,000 feet of climbing in The Mendip Hills in Somerset.
I completed my third ride on Sunday 18th July and completed 80 miles on the day.
Burrington Combe and Cheddar Gorge were included in the first 40 miles. The route was from Bristol to Weston Super Mare via the Chew Valley Lakes, the Mendip hills, and the Somerset levels near Glastonbury. Estimated climbing was about 5,300 feet and riding time of 6 h and 5 mins.
At the time of this edit, I have raised £819 in sponsorship with an extra £148.50 in Gift Aid (Total £ 967.50)
Thank you to all who who sponsored me. The site will remain open until the end of August
I have been fundraising specifically for Porthcawl Lifeboat Station !
Thanks in anticipation,
Derek
