This is it! After months of training in the sea in Brighton, Dover and Felixstowe, I along with 5 super swimmers will swim the Channel as part of the Real English Channel Relay Team known as the Aspire Marlins!

We will be swimming at 1am on Friday 2nd September, 2 weeks after our orginal date in August. We were delayed due to bad sea conditions.

I am raising money for Aspire - Supporting people with spinal injury. Did you know that 4 people every day sustain a spinal cord injury and are told that they may never walk again? It can happen to anyone of us at any time. Aspire provides essential services such as accessible housing, grants, IT faciliaties and practical support and advice to help people from injury to independence. It costs £2000 for a customised wheelchair.

So, I will swim in cold water across the channel dodging ships and if I can make a difference to at least one persons life, then I will do it!
