Unfortunately I lost my dear mum to undetected Diabetes in January 2018 ..This is such a cruel disease that needs a cure found and a condition often overlooked.

I have started to the Swim22 Challenge on the 27th October with an 80 length swim..and plan to have it completed by 11th January 2019..

The swim is 22 miles ...the Channel equivalent of swimming the English ChannelI 

I am doing this swim in memory of my mum and all proceeds will go to Diabetes UK on what will be her 1st anniversary on January 11th 2019.
