Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
If any of you have friends, relatives or loved ones who are suffering with Alzheimer’s or dementia you know how difficult it can be to see their personalities change in front of your eyes. The physical body is present, but the person you know & love is slipping away. I experienced that with my dear Mum. However there was an hour of light that shone for her every week when she found the “Forget-me-not Chorus.”
An hour of singing old, familiar songs reinvigorated her and brought her joy and lucidity. That is why Mark and I are cycling through the hills and valleys of south Wales this bank holiday weekend for three days to raise money for the local charity “Forget-me-not Chorus “ founded in 2011 by Kate Woolveridge and Sarah Teagle. It's now their 10th anniversary and they are still growing in popularity. Even during Covid, they continue their work on zoom & where possible in care home gardens & car parks, in hospital settings, singing through the windows come rain or shine. They continue to bring joy to all that need them.
This charity relies on the generosity of its supporters. Any donations would be gratefully received to help us get up those Welsh hills ! Please visit my just giving page & thank you for your kindness.
