Hi friends,

You may remember two years ago when we visited India with an organisation we support called WOW! (www.wowuk.org). .  When visiting India, we were really moved by the difference WOW are making in the lives of widows and children and are very excited to now be visiting WOW projects in Uganda and Ethiopia.  

Here is where you come in.  We have set a just giving page up to raise a little money, not for funding our trip but to aid WOW in their latest project.  Over the next 5 years, WOW will be planting 10,000 trees in their forest in Arua, Uganda.  For every 1000 trees planted, 75 local families will be supported a majority of which are widows and their children.  This means the children can attend school, the family can receive healthcare and will have food to eat.  The best bit is, each tree costs only £1. This £1 will buy the tree, the land it goes on and it’s care and maintenance for the next 10 years.  What a bargain!  

We’d love you to dig down the side of your sofas, rummage in your bags and pockets and donate some change towards a tree in Uganda.  We are really excited to visit the community where these trees are being planted and to meet the widows and their families that this is making such a difference to.
