Story
This page is set up as a memorial to my sister Kelly.
We lost her to suicide as an ongoing heartbreaking battle with alcohol and drug addiction at 42years young
Why this charity choice then?
Kelly started her unfortunate path at the tender age of around 17... a story too tortuous to share in a short paragraph.
A leg amputee before 30years old.
After many years of a destructive lifestyle she found the strength to combat the addictions and a while after came the happiness of pregnancy of a desperately longed for baby. This was ours and her hope for the brighter future and the reward for turning life around. It wasn't meant to be as at 24 weeks it was discovered that baby Ashley had genetic conception defects ( not addiction related) and wouldn't be able to survive. His short life has bought pure joy and hope to her and the rest of the family. After a lengthy struggle to accept her grief and keep the faith in life's blessings Kelly devastatingly returned to addiction.
We know she would love to see support for a charity that helps disabled children, their families and also researches Fetus/ baby genetic defects.
Hopefully something good can become from a terrible situation. Thanks for taking time to read her story❣️
