What better way of celebrating my 50th Birthday than to run The Virgin London Marathon for a 4th consecutive year for Cancer Research UK? I've already recently run The Great North Run and The Royal Parks Half as part of this particular campaign with just the Marathon to go!

50% of people diagnosed with cancer in England and Wales survive it by ten years or more and this percentage is thankfully increasing due to the incredible advancements made in research, together with the new and improved treatments now available. However, such progress would not be possible without public fundraising, as Cancer Research UK receive no Government funding whatsoever.

My marathon funds, together with Races for Life with my twin sis Linda have raised a total of £43,279.25 (PLUS gift aid) for Cancer Research UK. Help us to get this sum up to £50,000 for our 50th Birthday in February 2017.
